Glasses, the future and a Snippet.

This is me before, without glasses...

And this is me now...I should of gotten glasses a LONG time ago!

I am very sure that this is what the future holds for me. I will be that crazy red haired lady that is dancing in the middle of the street.

This is a conversation between Isaiah (Picture one) and David (Picture two).  Isaiah is my favorite character in my book.  (The main characters don't count, because they are obvious favorites.) But he is amazing!  I love writing those fun characters that have surprising knowledge even if they don't look like they would.  I hate stereotypes.  I do my best to bash them all at any chance I get!

{This is a WIP of my book My Stupid Girl}

“Whoa, what happened to you?” Isaiah asked as he slowly took a drag from the cigarette he was currently coddling like a precious new born baby.
“You wouldn’t even believe me if I told you.” I said miserably.
“Upset at Lucy for being flirty?”  He said offhandedly.

He was a cool guy, Isaiah. He reminded me of an old man when he did things.  Everything in him was mellow, but grumpy and at times infuriating. He would always speak quietly but profound things seemed to spew out, whether he realized it or not he was rarely wrong about things.
“Rachel kissed me.” I said, ignoring the fact that he could see right through me. He chuckled deeply, it sounded like two very loud wheezy coughs.
“Why so upset?” He asked like he didn’t already know. I looked at him with what I assumed was a “Kill me now, I’m dying” look. He nodded his head and looked away.
“She was just trying to get me to kiss her so she could go tell Lucy.” I said, realizing the realness of what just happened.
“I’m in love.” He said with a sneer.
“Yeah, she’s a peach.” I threw the end of my own cigarette at him. He patted the ash off of him, looking like a great big black sloth trying to save his clothes from certain demise.
“At least it wasn’t your first kiss and the memory of it is going to haunt you for life.” He said uncertainly.  I gave him my most miserable face, the one that said "I am the stupidest person on planet earth.
     “Dude, that sucks.”
“What am I supposed to do, Lucy is going to hate me.” It wasn’t so much a question as it was a cry for help.
“Why did you do it?” He asked me, handing me another cigarette.
     “I don’t know, I guess I just wanted to. I wasn’t thinking, I just…but Isaiah cut me off.
“You were mad at Lucy and your kind of glad that Rachel told her because this is your weird way of telling her that you were mad at her.”
“You’re a jerk, Isaiah…” I trailed off. He was right, of course.

So many people don't like glasses. You never see celebrities wear them or the "beautiful" people, and yet glasses often look so fantastic (as you have proved)
