O is for O CRAP

Last night, as I went to bed I was having the greatest dialog in my head between two characters in my current WIP Given.

It was really, really, really, really good!

I didn't write it down because it was SO GOOD, how could I not remember every detail...

I woke up this morning forgetting most of it.

CRAP!

There was an episode of Mad Men with a similar concept; ad writer had brilliant idea, crashed on the couch of his office w/out writing it down, forgot it in the morning. Zoiks! Maybe some of it will come back to you if you just start writing something. Or maybe carry around a tape recorder... :)

I dated one of the writters of Mad Men.

Doh! I hate it when that happens. Or sometimes you write some of it down and the next day it makes no sense. Haha!

Oh man, that would be the pits! Hopefully it'll come back to you. :)

Oh man, that's the worst feeling. Go to bed early tonight; maybe it'll revisit you.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I hate when that happens. I hope it comes back to you when there is a pen and paper/iPhone with voice record, or a friend that you can tell it to. :)

I just watched this very scenario on an episode of Mad Men...O is for O CRAP, O BUMMER, O I'M A DUMBASS FOR NOT WRITING IT DOWN--but, I do trust you'll get it back...maybe a slight variation, but it will likely be even better!!!

I hate it when that happens! I did exactly the same thing the other night-thought of a great scene, didn't bother to write it down and woke up without a clue. Although I think had I tried to scribble it down in my semi conscious state, I would have looked at it in the morning and had no idea what it was going on about :)
