Keir Gilchrist

I am a nerd who watches movies and sees which characters LOOK like the people from my books.

This Friday I rented a movie with no great expectations in my mind about characters but from the moment I pressed play I was floored at HOW MUCH the main character looked like my character David from my book My Stupid Girl

Meet Keir Gilchrist AKA...David!

Its the long nose.  The black hair.  The tan skin.  The lips that point on the top.  Its all there....all of it.

He acts like a depressed sixteen year old in this movie, so it wasn't a stretch for me seeing him as a goth/emo kid.

PLUS, the movie was rad.  Go rent it.  I'm going to get the book, it looks like a great read.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Do you have any books you've written? I just finished Blurred Realities by one of the people I follow, Amber LaShell. It was very good & have it on my Kindle. Email me at odie_langley@yahoo.com

Wow, I didn't recognize him as the kid from "It's Kind of a Funny Story" with just the addition of longer hair! It's so fun to find people who resemble our characters. My main character resembles Warren Peace from "Sky High," looks-wise at least.

I love that movie! I saw it in the theatre based on very little information; my friend wanted to see a terrible looking chick flick that got bad reviews, and I suggested this based on one hasty review I read before I left for the theatre. Anyway, what a great movie. I loved Emma Roberts in it, as well as Zach Galifinakis (huge fan of his odd but hilarious comedy).

I've never seen this kid or heard of this movie before. It's so fun when you find your character in real life. I watched the new TV show, The Voice, last night simply because I have a character based on Adam Levine. It made the show so much more fun!
